DIY Mineral Mud Mask

I love using this homemade Mineral Mud Mask.  It is like escaping to a spa, without leaving home.

The Dead Sea Mineral Mud in this recipe is not the same kind of mud you may find in your backyard.  All I find in my Florida backyard is sand.  ;o)  Dead Sea Mineral Mud is loaded with wonderful rich elements, that include Dead Sea salts and minerals such as magnesium, potassium, and calcium.

Mineral Mud Mask
Ingredients:
1 Tablespoon of Dead Sea Mineral Mud
2-3 Drops of Spearmint Essential Oil
3-4 Drops of Rosemary Essential Oil
3-4 Drops of Frankincense Essential Oil
Directions:
In small bowl combine the dead sea mud and essential oils.  Mix well to combine the oils with the mud.
Instructions:
Apply a thin layer directly on your face, avoiding your eyes, nose and lips.  Leave this on for a intensive moisturizing treat for up to 15 minutes.  Rinse and wash the mask away with warm water and a soft cloth.  Follow up with your favorite toner and facial moisturizer.

Results:
In just a few minutes after applying this mask I feel a tingling effect.  As the mud starts to dry, I feel my face tightening.  After I wash the mud treatment off my face, I am always happy with the results.  My face looks fresher, brighter, smoother and is super soft.

Tips:
  • Rosemary essential oil can help wake up tired or mature skin, helping it appear healthier and younger looking.
  • Frankincense oil is one of the best essential oils for your face, as it helps to keep your skin looking youthful and firm.
  • Applying a facial mask 1-2 times per week can drastically improve the quality of your complexion.
  • This mud mask is lightly exfoliating and unclogs pores.
  • If you have oily skin or acne add a spoon full of green clay to this recipe to draw out the oily and impurities.
  • After you remove this mask spray your face and neck with Facial Toner, and apply Shea Butter Facial Lotion to restore a natural balance.
  • Dead Sea Mineral Mud is available for purchased in my Etsy Shop.

DIY Almonds & Cream Bath Bags

Treat yourself to an invigorating soak in the tub
with a homemade bath bag.
Or make some to have on hand  to give as gifts to friends or family.
A adorable idea you can make for less than a dollar
that provides a relaxing and soothing bath.
Dress up this homemade bath product by scooping it into a
attractive cloth bags purchased at a craft store
or sew your own bags from scrap fabric.
DIY Almonds & Cream Bath Bags
½ Cup of Oatmeal {organic steel cut oats}
½ Cup of Powdered Milk
4 Tablespoons of Ground Almonds
½ Tablespoon of Almond Extract
5 Drops of Vanilla Extract
  1. In a small bowl, combine oatmeal, powdered milk, and almond meal, stirring to mix well. Stir in the scents until blended well. Divide mixture among cloth bags, about 2 to 3 tablespoons per bag and tie them at the top.
  2. When ready to use, simply throw a bag in your bath water, forget your troubles, and enjoy this natural bath treatment.
  3. Keep the bags in a cool dark place until ready to use.
A natural milk and oatmeal bath soak is one of the most
enjoyable and therapeutic ways to relax.
Make some bath bags for the kiddos, replace the almond
and vanilla extract with lavender essential oil.
Use their favorite kid friendly fabric print like, dora or dinos.
Great Mom tip, to keep the kids happy and clean at bath time.
If you wish to sew your own fabric bags, as I did.
Cut a fabric rectangle 8” x 3”, fold over to finished size of 4” x 3”
and sew up the sides. To close, tie with raffia or ribbon.
A milk bath leaves your skin feeling soft and supple.
The milk also helps exfoliate the skin for additional softness.
The lactic acid and fat in milk helps clean and soften the skin.

A oatmeal bath is fantastic for skin conditions
such as eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and sunburn;
skin benefits also include the soothing irritated skin  by bug bites.
Oatmeal also helps relieve dry and itching skin.

Almond meal is a wonderful source of Vitamin E which,
when used on the skin helps defend skin
against premature aging from ultraviolet (UV) radiation.

I hope you’ll make some bath bags to use at home and love them as much as I do.
Thanks for stopping by.

DIY Banana Facial

I enjoy a banana as a yummy snack,
but sometime they seem to turn mushy overnight.
I hate to toss them into the trash,
and I can only bake so much banana bread
or blend smoothies.
Here is a awesome facial treatment to make
with those brown spotted dark yellow bananas.
A quick banana wrinkle fighter.
Peel away the years with this easy facial treatment.
Banana is an astringent that induces a tightening or tingling affect on the skin,
which decreases the appearance of wrinkles.
Banana Facial Treatment
First clean your face thoroughly with any natural cleaner or soap.
Mash a ripe banana until very creamy, and spread it all over your face, avoiding your eyes.
Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes.
Rinse with warm water and then splash cold water on your face.
Gently pat your skin dry.
Thanks for Visiting!

DIY Peachy Keen Face Cream

Nothing says summertime more than Fresh Ripe Juicy Peaches,
and there’s nothing better than enjoying a yummy ripe peach.
I love cutting up a peach, placing it in a bowl and pouring it in a bit of milk for a yummy snack. Peaches are delicious to eat,
but did you know they are also really amazing for your skin.
Peaches contain natural alpha hydroxy acids to gently exfoliate and
clean your skin, as well as Vitamins A and C to strengthen and nourish your skin.
Using this fruit on your skin once a week during the summer
can help keep your skin so smooth and soft.
Trust me you will love the results and feeling.
You can actually just peel a peach and rub it directly on your face,
leave it for about 20 minutes then rinse off with warm water.
For a more clever recipe, here is one of my favorites.
This Peachy Keen Face Cream includes heavy whipping cream
which is awesome for your skin because it moisturizes it
and it is super rich in vitamins.
I hope that you will give it a try, your face will feel nourished after this daily treatment.
DIY Peachy Keen Face Cream Recipe

2 Ripe Peaches
2 Tablespoons of Heavy Whipping Cream
Directions:
  1. Mash the peaches by hand or puree in a food processor.
  2. Whip the cream slightly in a bowl, then fold into the mashed peach’s.
  3. Once a day, apply the mixture to your face, lightly massaging and rinse with warm water.

Tips:
  • Store in your fridge in an airtight container.
  • Peaches contain anti-inflammatory agents to counteract skin inflammation and improving your skin’s health by combating clogged skin pores, wrinkles, blemishes, sun spots, irritation and firms.
  • Heavy whipping cream is rich in proteins, calcium, lactose, fat, vitamin A, B12, D and zinc, which will smooth and nourish your skin.

and put some food on your face daily.
