You are sure to love this combination of soothing oil’s,
intoxicating lavender scent, the fabulous feeling on your skin.
This homemade multi-purpose body oil is wonderful to use everyday,
and extremely simply to make.

DIY Lavender Body Oil
1 Cup of Organic Sunflower Oil
6 Drops of Lavender Essential Oil
½ Tablespoon of Vegetable Glycerin
A Drops of Vitamin E Oil
Whisk all of the ingredients together mixing well in a bowl.  Then simply pour into a bottle or two small bottles with tight fitting caps and shake well to blend before each use.
Apply oil to your damp skin after a shower.

  • This recipe makes approximately 8 ounces.
  • This handmade Lavender Body Oil would make a great Mother’s Day Gift, package with a lavender soap or lavender bath salts.
  • This oil is perfect to use all over the body, after showering, before your body moisturizer, and for body massages.
  • It is also great for use on the face, as a makeup remover.
  • Vegetable Glycerin acts as a natural preservative to extend the life of the oil.
  • The lavender scent will help calm anxiety and provide natural stress relief.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog.
Smiles, Paula

  1. This sounds like such a lovely oil to make. I love the idea of paring it with soap and bath salts. Just beautiful.

  2. Sounds wonderful--love the calming scent of lavender.

  3. Where do you find vegetable glycerin? Most of the products I wouldn't know where to go to to find.

    1. Check your local health food store for the vegetable glycerin.

  4. LOVE this! I bet it's wonderful and I cannot wait to try this one!

  6. What other essential oils would you recommend for this? I am not a huge fan of lavender (don't judge me!) :)

    1. Feel free to replace the lavender essential oil with chamomile, jasmine or any other scent your nose may like. Thanks for stopping, and I hope that you visit often. ;o)
