DIY Natural Bubble Bath

For many years I have been on the path to reduce
chemicals in our home, and to become
greener, healthier and a happier household.
The journey has taken me to making my own natural soap, cleaning products,
laundry soap and organic beauty products.
I have decided to live with less, thus I ditched my
plastic sandwich bags and Windex many many years ago.
Continuing on my quest to living simple.
I would often wonder what is in the commercial or store
bought bubble baths.
The solution was to make my own natural bubble bath.

DIY Bubble Bath Recipe
Combine:
1 Bottle of Natural Dishwashing Soap
¼ Cup of Glycerine
1 Tablespoon of Sugar
10 Drop of Lavender Essential Oil
Food Coloring (optional)
Mix together all ingredients gently until sugar is dissolved.

Store in container and enjoy in your next
warm bath filled with luxurious bubbles.
The secret to this recipe is the glycerine and sugar
that create big, long, lasting bubbles.
For this recipe, I use Ultra Dishmate by Earth Friendly Products.
This liquid dishwashing cleaner is a great product.
Made from coconut oil and free from phosphates, dyes or perfumes.

Need I say anything more?
Draw yourself a bath and jump into those big fluffy bubbles.
Thanks for dropping by and visiting my blog.

  3. I love your DIY recipes! I'm going to purchase the ingredients and make some of this for my daughter...as well as some of the other things you show how to make (like the liquid soap). Where do you get the cute containers to hold the stuff you make? I see that some are mason jars, but where do you get the other containers (like the one with the cork in this picture)? 1. Hello Sarah, Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love making my own bubble bath, to save money and stay green. Plus I am able to customize my own scents. I shop for my bottles at yard sales and second hand shops. I purchased a large bag of different size corks from Micheal's craft store, to fit various bottles. Smiles, Paula ;o)

  8. Hello Paula, thanks for the recipe of your bubble bath, will give it a try. Can I substitute white sugar to brown sugar? Or it has to be white sugar? Does it make any difference? Thanks..

    1. I'm not sure if one would get the same results by substituting brown sugar for white sugar. If you are up for experimenting give this recipe a try with brown sugar and see how it works. Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog. ;o)
