We enjoyed the weekend traveling North to Atlanta Georgia
to the American Girl Doll store.
One of the first things you need to know about the store that it
isn't technically in Atlanta, it is in Alpharetta, GA.
Alpharetta is a beautiful suburb that is about 20 minutes
outside of downtown Atlanta.
The American Girl Doll store is in the North Point Mall,
which is filled with wonderful stores.
All I can say is that this mall is filled with Fabulousness
like Aveda, L'Occitane En Provence, Justice,
Kid’s Pottery Barn and much more.
We celebrated "Destiny’s 11th Birthday"
in true American Girl doll style.
We stayed at the Residence Inn Marriott located on the
edge of the mall’s parking lot, just a short walking
distance to AG entrance.
The hotel was filled with little girls and their dolls.
Plus, each night the hotel played
a American Girl movie with popcorn,
lemonade and cozy pink bean bags chairs.
We hung out, shopped,
enjoyed a snack at the American Girl Bistro
with Desitny’s dolls,
got McKenna’s hair done at the salon
and shopped some more.
We even found some time to explore the
Big Creek Greenway, we took a walk on the
paved pathway that follows the course of Big Creek.
The wooded area was a great retreat away from
hustle and bustle to enjoy nature.
Oo-la-la, we had a wonderful time.
Happy Birthday Destiny. :o)

I have been to the American Girl store in Los Angeles with my grand-daughter. It was a thrill for all of us. We had lunch in the store. Fun.
ReplyDeleteSounds wonderful, I heard that the other American Girl stores are much larger than the GA store that we visited. We had a great time, my hubby not so much {not a doll guy}. He drove us safely to GA from FL and back home. :o) Smiles, Paula
DeleteHappy Birthday wishes to your daughter! Sounds like a very special trip.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kari! Her actual birthday is on April 30th but we are working that weekend at a craft show. So we decided to celebrate early with a trip out of town over spring break. We at a wonderful time. Smiles, Paula
DeleteI can imagine how thrilled Destiny was with this birthday! How fun! BTW, when we lived there, we spent a lot of time on the Greenway ~ so pretty.

Oh yea, Destiny loved her birthday celebration. It must have been a great place to live? I noticed that all of the neighborhoods around the greenway and the mall area were super nice. Beautiful neighborhoods. :o) Smiles, Paula
