{ back to school }

Can you believe we are already talking about “Back to School”?
I mean ~ where did the summer go?
I’ve already purchased Destiny a backpack, lunch bag and school supplies. Next up, we have to visit the stores to buy uniform clothes, shoes and rain gear.
That last item is much needed down here in Florida because when it rains it almost always is a heavy down pour.  I say, let it pour because I love rain and it keeps everything a tropical green.
I am so excited I have five amazing guests to share with you on my blog.
All of these creative ladies have awesome handmade back to school items to show off to you.
First UP is Geraldine from the Handamade shop on Etsy.
Calling all Moms. Looking for a perfect gift for teachers. This hand-knitted apple jacket is a perfect one. Never eat a bruised apple again. Plus this apple jacket is so darn cute buy one for yourself. To find out more about Geraldine’s handmade items visit her shop at: Handamade

I love this print by Laura and I find it to be so inspiring. Laura is passionate about making art, and teaching. 10% of her sales will benefit her high school art classroom (in a city south of Seattle), where nearly half of her students live at or below the poverty level.

and checking out their handmade eco-friendly school items.
During the next two weeks which are the last two weeks of summer, wow. I plan to re-introduce the school year bedtime to our daughter.  I will spray lavender room and linen spray around her room at night to help her relax and fall asleep peacefully. We will begin waking up earlier and earlier, closer to the hour we’ll need to rise when school begins. I am excited about the upcoming school year since Destiny is entering the 5th grade at a new school.
Have you started school shopping yet?
Smiles, Paula

    We have to start getting back into an earlier bedtime schedule, too. I know it's going to be difficult. We've been sleeping in all summer!
